Hello from Texas

Postby ElanBRG » Fri 16.02.2018, 22:55

Hi from Texas.

I just purchase a one-owner 91 Elan in BRG. It was owned by Otis that many people may know as a very active member in the Lotus community with several other Lotus. Very nice gentleman.

I am very hands on DIY'er, and I look forward to being part of the community.

Thanks!

I just updated my profile to show Houston.

I did live in Aberdeen and Dyce back when I was working on the oil rigs in the North Sea.

Well, isn’t it a small world?
I used to live in Houston when I worked for Texaco’s Frontier Exploration Department. We had a house on Meadowlake near Briarpark. And I’ve spent a lot of time looking at the North Sea from oil rigs. Where in Aberdeen were you? Just Dyce?

Whatever you need for your new Elan, this is the place to get it. You’ll find a nice bunch of helpful people who have probably done whatever you are likely to want to do.

It was in the early 90's when I was with Schlumberger. I lived in a flat in downtown Aberdeen for a while, and then moved apartments to Dyce. I don't remember the street names anymore...

Glad this forum exists!

Thanks!

I don't recall Lars. I checked LinkedIn and his profile doesn't go back to the early 90's so I couldn't see his work history in case that jogged my memory.

Hi elanbrg,
I wanted to see if you are still in Houston as I may be visiting my brother in League city next weekend... and seeing a white m100.

Still in Houston, but sold the Elan already. Stayed in the Lotus family with an Esprit V8.
