Hi folks. A genuine member who has just sold a Boxster and now looking to purchase a Lotus Elan M100. I am not a keen fettler and only have limited mechanical know-how . I prefer to be driving than spannering.
If anyone knows of a nice clean Elan Turbo for sale, then please point me in the right direction. Is there a club I can join? I would be happy to pay someone knowledgeable to give any prospective purchase the once over for peace of mind. Budget is around 8500. Thanks for reading and I look forward to a purchase and seeing you all out on the road. Judd

Geoff beat me to it - when Roland had it it was pampered and looked after, and there's no reason to think that hasn't continued since his passing. Got to be worth considering.

Hi folks. I have made a purchase. A red 1995 S2 Elan with 73k on the clock. Living in East Sussex and looking forward to driving it soon. More to follow when she has turned a wheel. Mate who garaged it mentioned the handbrake locking the back wheels but the handbrake lever feeling saggy?
Also the window rubbers have perished. Otherwise looks gorgeous.
Thanks for the kind offers of Elans. Judd

Judd,
I don't own one (S2 that is!), but do know that the handbrake mechanism is different to the SE in that once applied, the lever 'collapses' down to lie flat..... just one of the 'improvements' made for the S2s.
(and if you wish to reactivate your 'old' LEC account, just ask and I'll try and sort it out for you).
