New Owner in Pacifica, California

Good evening,
I have finally taken the leap and bought my first Lotus from a fellow in Half Moon Bay, less than 10 miles from my home in Pacifica, in Northern California. I would never have bought the car if it were not so close to home... and if I had not taken the stupid decision to go and view the car.

I am still configuring my garage to keep both my Jensen Healey Mk I as well as the 1991 Lotus M100 Elan. Originally an east coast car, it was relocated to California ~2015.
Now I just need some help finding a SMOG testing station and a reliable mechanic?

Welcome! Great roads around there to practice the enjoyment of your new ownership . Good luck on the smog test. The wiki and manuals sections above, should be helpful to you or your mechanic if you run into any problems. Plus you can always search and ask here if you get stuck too. And we love to see pictures!!

There are several longstanding LEC members in California who I’m sure would help with the smog issues. It might be worth a PM to Tigerdog in San Diego for his wise counsel on the subject

Do you have the red M100? I passed one the other day in Pacifica. I have the same and live in Pacifica. Either way, lets meet up and I can share my experiences with it. I've had it since 2005 and have put many fun miles on it.

Hi! Congrats on passing smog. any chance you could share the gas analysis from the smog test? I'm looking for another Elan with which to compare mine.
