New from Spain

Postby Adonai » Thu 28.12.2023, 13:43

Hello everyone, I introduce myself from Tenerife Island in Spain

A little over a year ago, I bought a 1991 Elan, European with a catalytic converter :poke:. It's my third Lotus, but it's the first classic. Like everyone, it has some problems that I will solve little by little

It's a little love story between the M100 and me. When I was a child, someone from my town had this same car. I fell in love seeing it pass by every time and because of him, I discovered the Lotus brand 30 years ago. There were not many Lotus in Tenerife in those years. Neither today... :(

I dreamed of being able to own a Lotus one day. After owning a VX220 and an 2005 Elise 111R, I was finally able to fulfill the dream of having an M100

Here it is. It has around 130,000 km, but it is not in the best condition, both aesthetically and mechanically.

Hola Adonai,

That looks like a nice car from the pictures! It is difficult enough to keep Calypso Red paintwork from fading in the UK, so a European car in sunlight has done very well to still look that good.

Just the one now, but this one's mine! - and it will be finished eventually..... - but also temporary custodian of a project until it is finished enough for Angie to drive it

...oh, and a 2006 Freelander destined for the jungles of The Gambia - 4500 miles across roads, desert and tracks - what could possibly go wrong?
