maybe? Thanks for the info

255 LHP (litres per hour) is what mine does. so, that should be similar. the pictures do look like the same.. but then again i am not sure if theres much variance in their appearence. i only seen them out of the fiat, celica (replacement from rockauto) and elan., and the 4 different ones looked all the same to me

the fuel pressure its supposed to sustain is also relevant to the stats. but i cant get the details about mine anymore. its been too long and the ebay listing is gone.

Job #1

Replace fuel pump. I've been hitting the tank ring with bigger
and bigger hammers, to no avail.

I am going to make a tool for this job ...

As they say in Germany "no smacken der gaztank"...... I know it seems like a good idea to use a hammer and drift, but it can lead to cracking of the plastic round the rim, which isn't good!

I have done it that way, until I was advised of the perils, and since then I have used a toolmakers' clamp to grip the ring

I did make up a simple tool from 3 bits of dowel, a circle of plywood drilled in 3 places to poke the dowel through, and then used a large cable tie to pull the dowels into the ridges in the ring - but I lost it when I last needed to change the tank.
Dave

Just the one now, but this one's mine! - and it will be finished eventually..... - but also temporary custodian of a project until it is finished enough for Angie to drive it

...oh, and a 2006 Freelander destined for the jungles of The Gambia - 4500 miles across roads, desert and tracks - what could possibly go wrong?

Jim, try some very gentle heat from a hair dryer. Might be just enough to loosen the threads.

a bycicle inner tube may also work. using it in a similar manner as the oil filter tools work
