Took it for a drive as it was a nice sunny evening :-D  :-D Missed using the Elan without the roof down over the winter ! The drives in the rain was boring but nessasary, but driving with the roof down with a nice sun setting was worth the wait.

Roll on the summer!

The Elan has been @ Sportomotive in Sailsbury having a BIG service. C Service / Cambelt & Water pump etc etc...

Turns out the ECU is faulty - Its not responding to the diag machine ( car always ran poorly on cold start and was a tadd bit high on idle so looks to be the issue ) so I have a new ECU coming to them for fitting Saturday. Car also has a small leaky Radiator, so thats another to add to the list lol

APs 4 pot brakes are now fitted

Can't wait for the weekend!

WOW - What a great weekend to have the Elan back for. Roof down on both days, RESULT!

Been really happy with the service @ Sportomotive in Sailsbury. I will be more than happy to take my car back there in the future for any issues that may need sorting. The cars running 10x better now with the new ECU, Its like I have a new car :-D

The AP's are really good as expected - Transformed the Elan so much!

Just need my Rad sorting and to get some better pads in the AP's!

Fitted the ESM V5 switch the other day, quick little job which was nice. Car goes well with it and its great to have that adjustablitly on board. Defo need a different exhaust to see the real benefits though I'm sure.

Few pics of ny car @ Combe today... Tight parking on Club stand so no side shots.

Tried to find you for a quick chat, found your car with the missing steering wheel,,,which was the thing I wonted to see, maybe next time

That's a weird coincident, the only two Elan's there and there both blue..............are you sure every time you went to watch a session your car wasn't borrowed for a quick session

Anyway whats the excuse? you were there with the Elan , track tyres on ready to go..

Yea I did think that when I seen the other chap put there first, but I have the wheel I thought there was a slim chance

My rad is leaking a fair bit - Driveable but I wouldn't want to hold the car flat out for a couple of sessions out of fear of damaging it more.

Pain in the ass really as I Got the car all up together with new cambelt and brakes to :( always more to come though...

Its all fitted in place, went in loads easier then the old one came out lol, I just need to buy some coolant so I can fill her up and bleed the system through.

I Took a few pics of what its like compared to the old one.

Having set one up not long ago, you may be interested in these two threads. Click for full details of my valve project and for a discussion of how to set up a blow-off valve.
