Still, the performance is to low, which I think is due to the larger injectors as the engine is running far to rich. :(

Think the answare is installing a Haltech E6GMX ECU. :!:

If you are using the Everest chip with an aftermarket turbo and larger injectors, I'd be careful. The chip isn't calibrated for the increase in cfm that the new turbo is likely capable of. Neither does it know about the larger injectors. You're probably right about the injectors making things run very rich, too. Running rich can sometimes be as bad as running lean according to my engine guy. I'd look into getting the poor girl properly tuned via Haltech or otherwise ASAP so there is no internal damage.

I assume the power figures you mention are computed crank figures? Did you get wheel HK/HP figures as well? With more and more folks having their cars dynoed, it's sometimes hard to tell which figure they are actually using.
Rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated.

Delta

You'd be better off getting the one on eBay...if Mark hasn't already got it.
I paid £512 (incl postage) for mine.
I don't mind taking a slight loss on it but $735 = £407 right now.

So, the project continues, not as Game-on would have done, but back to optical standard. Interior is almost completed, and for those of you who saw the poor thing at Donny, I have inclosed a pic. showing how it is right now. Still things to do but it did help with a litle loving care.

New Haltech ECU on it's way in. See under "Upgrades"

And now 12 years later.!.
The one and only bling mobile is still in Denmark, but newer made it back to the road..!.
I have my other Elan M100, which is very good, so never had a need for is, and did not want dismantel is just to get the motor to my other car, as on my way back from UK to Denmark, i found that this car was very very good on the road. Yes, everything inside, electric and interior was a mess, but a few month prior to buying the Bling Mobile I did buy a salvage car and had it dismantled, so whatever i needed to bring the bling mobile back to standard war already on the shellfs. So i did finish it, and It has been driven occasionally since, but not on a regular basis.

Now it's time to sell it on, so if anyone has an interest, then don't hesitate to ask.

Cant find the old tread from Game-on. Is it all gone.?. Still have all the pic's taken under the the original renovation.

Good to be back here after years.

Delta,
long time no hear from! Hvordan gaar det? Or, as we say in Aberdeen, "foo's yer doos?" (Literally "How are your pigeons?".)

Glad to hear you're alive and well. And you've even made Game-on's car a proper Elan. Well done - there was always a good car there trying to get out.

I'm afraid that several threads have mysteriously disappeared overthe years, and that Game-on's project thread was one of them. Gone but never forgotten.

Hi John.
Nice to hear from you.!.
Has just been seeing through all the pic's taken through the original work made by Gerome. It was a big job, and I know he spend 7K on the engine itself. But it is also a also very good, not only spend on gold plating, but also have the super sports clutch, totally balanced, and even has a limited slip differential.

Unfortunately I have no time to put it back on the road, so now it's up for sale. It would nice if the original tread still was on the net for every one to read.

Things over here are just fine. I have retired and gone on pension, and should have a lot of time but don't have, as there are to many unfinished projects just waiting to be completed. One of the things to do is also to reduce the inventory of cars and spare parts. So it has to go.

I really liked the engine bay .. the previous owner was a bit of a character all right .

Do i take it this is a mothballed project in a non running condition ?
I remember beer cans in the footwell and from memory i think they were in the LHS making the car a RHD ?

You're correct Clemo.

Beer cans, old fag packets, fag stubs, Kleenex tissues, sweetie wrappers etc....

The engine bay was immaculate, but the inside !!!! I remember well Dico and Monty taking the pi$h at Donny

I think someone took a photo ?? Maybe John W ??
