Lotus Elan Central

After the post into the "New Members - Introductions", the time is right to open a project-thread of my Elan.

I bought the car in Germany on 17/05/2008 and the car is a SE build in 1992. The car had 31.300km on the clock.

Because I had an Elan before I know the bad things onto the Elan SE.

So the first steps (2008) are to fix all the bad things of the Elan.
- silent but rusty exhaust
- change the sloppy shifter
- give the car better brakes
After this I want to change some other things, I want to to the clutch,

1.) Exhaust
Installed a full inox line, I don't know what it is, it's no PECO and nu Supersprint. My Lotus dealer sold and installed it.

2.) Shifter
I was looking to the AB shortshifter but because I cannot make contact with them someone told me to buy Dave's shortshifter. So after 2 weeks I've installed Dave's shortshifter and it's hughe difference!!

3.) Brakes
Next week my Lotus dealer is installing a AP Racing bigbrakekit onto the Elan. At that moment I use my Elan for 100%.

But before the brakes I did some other things to the Elan.

4.) Mountain chip.
Bought and installed (myself) the Mountain chip with switcher. Again one of the best modifications I did to my Elan AND with the super advice and a products of a LEC member! So after the brakeupgrade I can use the Elysium mappings on my Elan without no compromise

5.) Front spoiler lip.
The car had not frontspoilerlip the moment I bought it, the previous owner do not know he was missing a part ... :roll:

6.) Personalised licenseplate.
A special car deserve a special licence plate, but here in Begium that's expensive.
So I paid 640€ to have 100.TUS, on the front I made a licenceplate with a little misspelling so it sounds I00TUS. :twisted:
