NOW FOR SALE

I have owned the Elan for about 7 months now. Sold a 106 for something more practical yet still good fun. The Elan seemed to fit the bill fine! :-D

I Plan to tidy the Elan up over the next year and get some track days in where possible. Theres a Company a few mates use that do a lot of airfield track days which is good vfm, so I expect il start there with the Elan.

Cars currently on 82k and in reasonable condition for the age. Few little niggles as with any old car but that will all get sorted at some point.

Here is the start of a few changes I have made over the last few months.

Momo Course black Leather steering wheel (red stiching underneath). 320mm. Its a bit smaller than the stock item which is great as it gives me a tadd more leg more now. I brought an adapter from cutlea off here so I can now attach the momo wheel onto the stock boss.

I have almost fitted the new wheel, just need to remove the old boss now ( hoping to find time in the week). I have tested the momo horn (attached through the SWM snap off boss) and all seems to be working fine still. :)

As with most cars I have owned I would like the cambelt / water pump etc to be replaced asap for piece of mind. Once that is done I will install the v4 switcher I have had sat with me for a while. Can't wait to install it, but good things come to those who wait ( or so I keep telling myself)

Yes your right :) I need to investigate the exhaust side of things. I have a S/S exhaust already on my elan, but I think its a stock one. I need to read into it more to see if I would do better from 2 1/4 or 2/1/2 dia. Got the fund for one, just not the time to look into it lol

I now have a working fuel guage (I brought the car with it non working) just took ages getting round to fixing it.

I now also have working interior lights  Didn't realise I had interior lights first of all lol Only after reading up on the forum I found out they were tucked under the rear view mirror!

Getting round to fixing the niggley faults is so good! :-D

Well done! I like your enthusiasm for fixing things, and details.
Did you know that if you pull the healight switch out it turns the interior lights on as well. I only found this out when I got round to reading the manual!
