Oil pressure gauge

Postby White Elan Man » Tue 19.09.2023, 16:55

Hello, the bezel on my oil pressure gauge is badly corroded and I am having trouble finding a replacement gauge if anyone has one they don’t want I would be interested.
Thanks

I'm pretty sure the gauges use standard 52mm bezels which were used from the '50s onwards, you could try Caerbont Automotive Instruments in Swansea who make Smiths gauges now.

Edit:

Note to self - read the post properly before replying - didn't notice you need a new gauge not just a new bezel!

To save someone time in the future Caerbont couldn’t help, it seems that we are now in the position of having to wait for second hand ones to turn up

i know the shape roughly.

i also have a 3d printer..

i just lack the 3d modeling skills..

(wondering if this could be a worthy venue to pay off those £500 invested in the machine )

My father owns a small printing business...if there's enough demand and someone can take a very high resolution photo without the needle, we could possibly print them on a thicker cardstock as a suitable replacement.

If it's just the face that you require, then there is an .svg file of the face......

...... or a company in Germany can sell you a set of 3 printed on acetate.

Just the one now, but this one's mine! - and it will be finished eventually..... - but also temporary custodian of a project until it is finished enough for Angie to drive it
