Custom Rear Hubs, Bearings & Discs

It is indeed M6 x 1mm, I won't be able to get onto the car today but have looked at similar at they are 6mm long usually.

I will order a bulk pack of 100 once I check the pitch depth, and put 2 in with every hubs package.

The bearings are now being inserted so I hope to have the final delivery date very soon.

I also have some updates to make to the spreadsheet, which I'll do when I have a second, probably tomorrow at this rate.

JohnB you are cool for a set of hubs, I will send out update correspondence to you and everybody else involved shortly.

Hubs are finished! A bit of confusion with an email that didn't send. But just waiting to find out shipping. Will hopefully have them in hand later this week!

Delivery is apparently slow, 3-5 working days. So I am going to set final payment date for the few that haven't yet paid, to next Friday the 18th October. Anybody not having paid or contacted me by the following Friday 25th risks their hubs going to the next person in line.

I will update the database and contact each buyer personally to verify their final shipping address so you should have them in hand late next week.

I am not going to put instructions in the boxes. Simply because most of you know more than me about this stuff!

What I will do, is detail a photographic replacement in my thread, hopefully I should have this completed by about the same time. I will also include 2 of the brake disc locating screws in each pack to say sorry for the delay and thanks to everybody who sent their money upfront on trust to help me with cashflow.

Just looking back at it, I don't know when the last 3 weeks have gone…..

So ignore the bit about payment by the 18th, I'll contact everybody and look to collect final payments by next Friday the 1st November, with a final cut-off of 8th November.

Rambo apparently they are arriving today, I only got told this at 8am this morning and have a few jobs to do but my wife will sit in at the workshop for them while I go do these things. This week is hell, like all the last 20 or so weeks have been. Next week anytime will be fine I think (I hope, gawd).

Hubs arrived late week after last. I don't know where last week went. Finally after 8 months I have my van back so I am decluttering my workshop today and will be un packing the pallet tomorrow with a view to repacking for shipment next week. I'll check on payments but its only the internationals and 1-2 UK guys left, I'll also check the spares once I've made sure all is well with the items I received and post up here in the next day or two where we are.

Sorry, sorry, sorry. I ripped a muscle in my back last weekend and am on a go-slow period.

Just unpacking these now ready for reboxing.

They are ready for collection so anybody picking up just shout me for a time.

Boxes, disc locating screws are here so I should have them packed in the next 2-3 days for shipment.

Everybody will get contacted invididually about their payment etc and then I'll update the list. GG, I haven't forgotten you, I just want to be sure before promising you a spare set I can't deliver.

I know it sounds a bit haphazard but I have a lot going on as those I have spoken to personally know. Expect PMs in the next day or two.

IMPORTANT: One thing I would say is that my set/the test set, are starting to show a little surface rust. Yes, I live in Scotland, but if you don't plan to fit & forget, you might want to just grease or oil them to keep them nice in storage, or pop them in a sealed box with some silica gel.

I don't really want to advise on what materials wouldn't harm the rubber seals.

It has gone very quiet. Rambo have you collected yet or has Scotland become snowed under. Has anyone else collected or heard anything? I am not meaning to stir, just concerned.

I agree with Nippy. Paid in full in mid July, seen many deadlines set by Jeemy come and go. Jeemy was a former prolific poster on his Elan rebuild, but nothing since 9th September. Jeemy last accessed this site several days ago, so fulfilling his obligations to us is not his first priority. This I might understand if explained. I have this horrible feeling that this is going wrong and I might be in a BB2 situation.

If you are reading this Jeemy please reassure me or repay me.

He posted a picture of a box of 14 hubs and announced he had hurt his back. He has a link to his email and of course his PM.

Probably best to send him both a PM and an email asking him to complete the transaction before posting those demands.

Jamie always seems to be up to the neck in work and having a back injury won’t help.

He did say at some point he has a tendency to remain quiet in certain situations, I imagine he’ll be back in no time.

No Nippy, I haven't collected yet, but I've always said that I'm not in a rush.

I was also one of the first to pay up in full so I have the faith and I keep the faith. I suspect that Jeemy is stiil debilitaded with his bad back but also playing catch up with his business commitments.
