Norfolk Mustard S2

Postby Lotusian » Sat 26.11.2022, 12:13

I’m looking for a Norfolk Mustard S2, preferably low mileage and very good condition.
I’ve had a couple of S1 Elans and fancy another.
I’ve looked at a some overpriced dealer cars, but haven’t found the right one yet.
Anywhere in UK considered.

Give us an idea of your budget and we can possibly help. It won't be cheap though.

All cars are available at a price. Mine's available for £15k. Is that overpriced? ...or just what you need to pay to get hold of it??

Rambo
Thanks for this. I’m expecting to pay up to £16,000 for the right car, but it would need to be seriously special to justify that.

If you’re looking to sell, please PM me some further info/photos.

Cheers

seems like you are undervaluing your car mate.

mind you. i wouldn't value mine that high on the market. but it would take more than that to make me sign the V11 at the moment.... and I'm only running the (strangely) undesired SE

Ha ha! Joao. We'll see if Ian bites my hand off or whether I'm forced to discount in 2 or 3 years time when I'll actually need to sell....

Well Mike, if you need to discount in a couple of years, I'd appreciate a chance to come to a suitable deal.....

Unfortunately its not an S2, and it's also priced a little optimistically.
Also unlikely to be in the desired state of condition you are looking for.
However, it is Yellow

I take it you are joking? This is an overvalued NA. OK, the only thing it has going for it is it's yellow, but I'm not sure if it's even the correct NMY colour.

I've seen some much better nick NMY SE's in and around the 15k area. I'll see if I can find them.

It was definitely a tongue in cheek post. I just didn't want to risk offending the owner if he is active on here

"So priced accordingly as this will run forever in the right hands and will be worth £50,000+ within a decade"

Really

Hoping Ian reads this. I emailed the Gmail address on Tuesday 29/11. I PM'd on here on Thur 1/12, but its still in my outbox so unread. I see that Ian was last on here on yesterday 6/12. I'm unclear why there's been no acknowledgement at all, so assuming comms isn't working for some reason? Not bothered if there's no interest in mine, but would prefer to be clear one way or the other...

Hello Mike
I didn’t see the PM, but did reply to your email last Thursday. Another one lost in the ether somewhere.
I will not re-send (for fear it may go missing again), but confirm that I will not “bite your hand off“ for the time being.
Thanks for the detailed information which you sent.
Cheers
Ian.

Ah OK thanks Ian. Wonder where the reply went!? Right at the top of the screen on here you should see (1 new message) next to User Control Panel. That's where you'll receive PMs. PMs stay in the outbox until read, then migrate to sent.

Looks very nice to me....almost as good as mine

But if its still for sale after many months then the market says it not worth £14995 for some reason. Not surprised in December, but I'd expect it to look a veritable bargain around Easter time.

a few months ago the range was 8k to 12k mostly dictated by the seller type (with private seller not asking above 11k and comercial not asking for less than 10k) this is excluding the usual delirious outliers and complete rebuild projects.

i always aim for the lowest price possible. it doesnt matter what a seller tells me about the car. unless im buying from a forum member that DIY everything and i trust. i will expect all cars to require some degree of expensive work. (or time consuming)
