LOTUS aluminum door sills

Postby Gee0 » Tue 21.08.2007, 21:41

Hi

I found these on ebay and the people that have seen them have said they look good. I will sort out some pics tomorrow or Thursday.

Anyone who's interested in organising a group buy, drop me a PM or email as I have the sellers contact details.

Got mine for £12.50 delivered (which is cheaper than the ebay starting price), despite being outbid by somebody

I'm sure the ones that Elanlover was looking at were going to come in at £40 + delivery a set, so for ~£15 delivered your not doing too bad.

I know what you mean about the size but I had a look at some of the others last night and these seem just right, the ones that cover the whole sill are a little big for my liking but I would say that :D

And for this price you cant go wrong. (this guy should be giving me commision :-D )

I bought some of these & I like them. Anything could be better I suppose, but your eye is drawn to them the moment the door is opened, and they become the focal point of the interior. 'nuf said?

BTW, nice of you boys to always spray the ground down with a hose so it doesn't have that 'dry' look like we have over here. You really go the extra mile. Here's to your hard work! Cheers.

If it doesn't exist, create it. (God did)
Ignore what I say. (good advice)

I agree, they look nice and keep your eye from wandering and then noticing that the seats are saggy and need a refurb.

Yeah, right. Isn't our weather great over here this year.
I think our "Summer" this year has consisted of about 5 days with a week of rain between each one. I have been told it's warm though...compared to November maybe.
We still have the nutters claiming this is due to 'Global Warming'. :wtf:

Sorry, rant over :offtopic:

Having received a few PMs about these, I thought I'd put up a clarification.

If you are just interested in ordering your own, I suggest you use the ebay "contact seller" functionality - this is what I did.

If you are interested in organising a group buy, then I have 2 email addresses for the seller, which may get you a head start in contacting him to arrange it, e.g. what discount, how many can be supplied etc, but unless you are going to arrange a group buy, just bid on ebay or use ebay's contact facilities.

When I was trying to arrange some "customized" sill plates I was trying to get them in a size that covvered virtually the entire length of the platic sill (since it looks so bland on its own). They needed to be about 32 inches long and about 2.5 inches wide. I lookd at these ones as well and contacted the seller to se if he had any interest in making this longer (the sills that is). Apparently, he can only get them 19 inches x 1.5 inches. I felt that was a bit small.

They do look nice as they have a chrome like finish as opposed to the ones I bought and (was trying to have customized for us) which are a matte finish.
