Kier, I'm not a fan of the color (as you might have gathered), but I must admit it looks a whole lot better sprayed on the real car. Nice work. It's always good to be unique, and I'm sure your car will be noticed when you're on the road. Hope it's not the coppers, though.

Don't disagree with the stripe at all, think it will be broken up when the maskings off and all the trim etc is back, black will sit nicely against the green.

Quite like the elanmans idea of a 2 tone sprint scheme though using the body line as the colour division.

Perhaps somebody will photoshop it for you.

That reminds me of just how pretty they are!

(My old S4 SE was in the Gold Leaf colours - started off as a coupe, then had the roof chopped).

It's interesting from the pictures - none of them with the standard wheels..........

..........but those Minilites look great.

Just the one now, but this one's mine! - and it will be finished eventually..... - but also temporary custodian of a project until it is finished enough for Angie to drive it

Ah, i didn't realise the alloys went to a standard fitment on the elan (only on the plus 2) - mine was a 'G' plate so i had the steel 'knock-ons'.

The minilites look nice though :D

I think that looks great! Well done for being brave.

I disagree about putting a two-tone and stripe on as well - leave it as it is. I have yet to see a M100 with it done well.

:agree:

Someone did one on the Gold leaf theme and it looked s**t, for some reason two tone doesn`t seem to work on the M100 :?

Be good to see the finished product

This car was up for sale a couple of years ago Monty - a guy from Burton-on-Trent IIRC ? And you're right - it looked shite - as we say up in these parts.

Cheers all for your comments so far, I was expecting a bit of a difference of opinion, but I did think generally it wouldn’t be a popular colour so it's good to hear there are a few fans.

As for the debate about the stripe to make it look like the Elan sprint, I’m not going to be doing that for the moment. My plan with the colour and clear indicators is to make it look a bit more modern and I think to then also try and add the sprint element to the car wouldn’t really work (in my opinion) as that’s more of a retro look which I don’t want.

Nige’s comment about “the colour being broken up when the masking is off and all the trim is back” is spot on!!! I have this picture below which demonstrates that. I was going to leave off any half finished pics and wait until it’s all back together but thought I may as well stick this one on.

Still needs to be t-cut & polished, plus there are a few bits of over-spray to clean off the tyres, but you get the idea as to roughly how it will look!

I have clear indicators to fit on front and the rear (clear side repeaters are already on), plus the wheels will be done a dark metallic Gray in the next few weeks. As I write a full leather interiors is also on its way to me from Taiwan , courtesy of kmckmc.

I think it will look pretty good, but as with everything ‘one mans meat is another mans poison’ as they say!
