I recently had to rebuild my motor. In the process, I also adapted my exhaust and intake to a Garret GT2554R turbo. I used Crambury's adapter plate, and made my own exhaust parts, clocked the turbo, and fabricated up a wastegate actuator, modified some coolant lines, oil lines, and boost lines. Adapted as well as i could see similarly to LGM's turbo upgrade.
I finally started and drove the car last night.
Although I have a 0.75 bar wastgate actuator, I'm only getting a max of about 0.25 bar of boost. And I'm not hearing the BOV when I close the throttle, so I'm suspecting the gauge is right. (I had a BOV before from an upgrade by Bill's Isuzu Performance).
I didn't have time to look for intake system (compressor side) leaks an double check the wastegate actuatator - and those are my first things to look at in the next couple days.
I thought I'd ask if anyone has other suggestions of things to look at.
Phil
