Google "English person"

and

Next time you get a new mobile number, you can have some fun before you tell people you've changed...

“HELLO! Thanks for signing up to the animal medical advice line. Texts cost £1 from a UK Mobile. To unsubscribe please reply to this message with “STOP”. Which animal are you interested in getting medical advice on?”

“You have selected bobcat. A bobcat is a north American mammal of the cat family felidae. The bobcat is an adaptable preditor that inhibits wooden areas as well as semi-desert, urban edge, forest edges and swampland environments. Rabbits and hares are the preferred pray but they also hunt small rodents and deer. Would you like a picture of a bobcat sending to your phone? Picture messages cost £2 plus the standard £1 text charge. To unsubscribe please reply “STOP”

“Many thanks for your request, a photograph of your requested animal is on its way to you! We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support and generous contribution. Your thoughts and comments are always welcome.”

“We are always looking for ways to improve our services and we pride ourselves on value for money. How would you rate our services 1-5 with 1 being the lowest. We want you to know that nearly 10% of the money you donate goes to help unwanted animals at the “Putting Meat on Plates” Charity.”

“Would you like to hear the top five most common deaths for spiders?”

“Stop”

“The most popular deaths for spiders are 1. Old Age. Spiders usually die of natural causes around the age of 4 years old. 2. Accidents. Believe it or not many spiders die due to electrocution on live wires. 3. Humans. Humans swallow on average 4 spiders in there lifetime and humans also fear spiders and stamp on the poor creatures. 5. Drug abuse. Spiders are attracted to the scent of coca used in the production of cocaine. However before death the spiders become alert and highly confident.”

Why I will never feel stupid again:
Some guy proffering his explanation to the lyrics of the Coldplay song "Viva la Vida:"
(but he can't remember or be troubled to look-up the outcome of WW2!!!)
And I think, if my theory is correct, that Hitler is represented by "the pillar of salt" (such a bad taste!) or maybe the "bell a'ringing", because Hitler, much like bells, really grabbed our attention, didn't he? The Roman Calvary, of course, refers to the allied forces, who fought bravely and might have even won world war 2, I can't remember actually who won, but in the end, does it really matter?

Small courtesies keep women happy...
(Thus, this guy's wife must be EXTREMELY happy!)

End of funny and onto, "Did you know it existed?"

Tern Island, an emergency runway between Hawaii & Midway Island.

My meaningless thought is, "The smaller the area, the bigger the man who resides therein."
That's the best I can do on short notice.

Historical note:
As the only protected anchorage within their operational range, the Japanese placed seaplanes here prior to their Pearl Harbor attack to monitor USA fleet movements out of Pearl. They were supplied with fuel from submarines and were not discovered until mid-1942. The runway was built by the Americans in 1943, I believe.

Took Blackie out to my parents today to do a few jobs, I was starting to regret it as I sat at my parents as a large thunderstorm and crap loads of rain passed over (two to three hours of solid thunder). Then just after it passed over and I checked the rainfall radar for where it was heading and what was incoming the sun came out. My path home happened to track the storm at a 45deg angle into the storm.

As a blazing hot Sun came out against the backdrop of black storm clouds and an extremely bright Double Rainbow filled the skies I dropped the top and went for a drive home. What a drive!!! Driving through the spray in the burning heat with the top down is something that makes you feel alive, to have that with a backdrop of a raging storm and the rainbow is something strangely exhilarating that brings an animal grin to your face.

As I pulled up at home I couldn't help but exclaim "I AM ALIVE!!!!"

Reminds me of my drive home from Nick & Kim's last week.
It was raining in Huddersfield so I set off with the roof up.
It stopped around Sheffield then got too warm.
I dropped the roof soon after. Once it was down, it stayed down even though I drove through about 2 showers.
I was almost disappointed when the rain stopped.
