Passed the MOT today with no advisories :D

Mother's carer: "Management have told us we can't put glucose in your mother's squash unless the doctor writes it up on her medication chart."
Me: "What about sugar in her tea?"
Mother's carer: "What about it?"

I work in a pharmacy and it has been suggested that they are carers because they are not bright enough to be nurses. (Not true in all cases I'm sure)

The world has gone bloody bonkers....

A 1991 Calypso Red SE with only 5,972 miles for £18,500 is speculative.... www.woldsideclassics.co.uk/lotus-elan-se-turbo-m100-5-000-miles-only-in-louth-5212862

but a 1959 Fiat 500 with 99,999 miles for £29,750 is just bonkers ... www.woldsideclassics.co.uk/fiat-500-nuova-500-rhd-in-louth-5205767

Is it because all the others have rusted away and this one hasn't .... yet?

That's a nice problem to have John, I had that problem once I got the Elan S4 but my 23 year old son Matthew now takes the M100 whenever he can so that limits my options somewhat

Had to smile to myself when 2 parcels arrived from Rock Auto today (still 2 to arrive, though!).....

....I always like to get pressies to open :D

Especially when it was ordered last Wednesday, just before the £/$ rate went against buying abroad :D

A complete clutch kit for $33 is always a bit of a bargain :D :D (Okay, I'm glossing over the Shipping and VAT costs - it is a heavy(ish) box though and still only about 25% of SJ prices all in).

It still amazes me that I can order stuff from thousands of miles away across the ocean and National boundaries any time of the day/night and it arrives on my doorstep quicker than a letter from the NHS in Bristol can get here

Dave,
Have you got the link to the complete clutch kit at Rock Auto. I ought to get one even if the exchange rate isn't as good as it was because I may need one sometime and thats a good price.

Andy,

It was on a link from their 'Wholesaler Closeout Sales' email where they get rid of stock they no longer want to keep hold of - they only had one listed, and when I went onto their main website, I tried to order more but the order was declined. :(

They had a few other makes listed on their 'standard' inventory, but I was happy with a 'discontinued' Valeo unit.....

....the others were various prices (all cheaper than UK prices), but may or may not be worth getting if you do/expect to want one.
