Sadly, after 2 years of hard labour and great fun driving my car, I am thinking of moving on.....really don't want to lose her, however my next move up the car chain means I need to (the wife won't let me have 2!)

All in spent over 8k (see the list below), hundreds of hours of my own personal time, to get her in tip top condition.
Love this car. Will only let it go to a good home which is why I am posting this on LEC before I put it on Autotrader etc.

Comes with a bucket load of spare bits, printed service manual, a full files worth of service info, receipts, historical MOTs and lots lots more....(note: the private plate is not in the sale of the car as it's a family heirloom)

Info on the car:
3 owners from new (4 if you count the previous owners mother having it whilst he was in financial difficulty!)
Last one bought it from Paul Matty (black and gold sticker still on the rear window)
Supposedly only one of 13 original black SE's (though can't prove it!)
Paint upgraded by Aston Martin Paint engineer
Subtle Gold pinstripe and Ayrton Senna signature in respect to his first GP win in the Lotus 97T JPS lotus
Full retrim including unique seats, black (not grey) carpets, gators, doors, sills, b post, and has a unique design map pocket satchel- done by Aston Martin trim development team
Fully refurbished original SE wheels to replicate the 97T GP car
New cobra bridge 4100 alarm system
New audio header in tune with the red lit interior and 4x new 210w speakers linked to a Rockford fosgate amp
New Yuasa battery (last month)
CAS replaced to latest version
£4500 bill from Paul Matty - Timing belt replaced, head gasket and head skim, oil cooler pipes replaced, rr calipers repaired and pads changed, new thermostat amongst other things!
New (original Renault 14) radiator fan replaced
Both headlamp gears replaced
New front splitter
New oil sump
Full clean up, clip replacement and repainted of the exhaust manifold heatsheilds in the engine bay
Wind deflector
Great condition tool kit (with the penknife!!)
Comes with a Full service history
Last MOT 27/06/17 -one advisory on rr eh bearing, now replaced

Looks great, love the interior retrim as those seats look incredibly comfortable. The JPS scheme does suit the Elan well, looks like a sensible price.
What are you buying next?

As for the next project...I have to scratch my TVR griffith 500 itch, as I fell in love with them at Le Mans in the mid 1990's!

You won't regret buying the TVR provided you get a decent one, my friend has one and it is an awesome bit of machinery!

Just remember to buy one where the outriggers have already been replaced. They are as bad, if not worse, than M100's

Outriggers are right at the top of the list, flowed by bushes, wishbones, starter motor, camshafts....and that's just the start of it!!!

I too am looking at a Trevor. Maybe an S or a wedgie but preferably a Chimmy or a Griff

90 hits in 24 hours is not bad eh...a couple of sniffs but nothing solid yet.

Boy you are going to regret selling such a nice car. In a few years time I know which you will be telling people ruefully "I used to own one of those".

Like a mosquito bite some itches are better scratched in the mind.

I'll stick with the finest front wheel drive car ever made (by a 7 times F1 champion car constructor) but then I suppose I won't know what I'm missing.

Took it off the market over the Xmas period as it want the season to sell her.
Looking to put it up for sale again this week, as I have STR8SIX on the job to find me a TVR NOW.

Yes I could be. Not a fan of black but I have a fondness for JPS
Could you please answer a few questions:

- What is the mileage on the car?
- Can you please give me a list of the services its had with date and mileage at the time + anything major it had done.
- Any faults or anything that will need replacing soon?
- it was Sept when you posted the pictures. Does it look the same now and has anything changed?

Sorry for the questions. It looks like I may be taking my daughter back to Nottingham Uni next weekend. Will you be around Sat/Sun? I'll have to confirm day nearer the time.

Can you mail your email to mine ( celston@astonmartin.com or carlelston71@outlook.com), as it’s easier to send you the pictures in higher resolution and will also send all the details of servicing etc.
As for next weekend, I am available at most times, except Saturday evening as my daughter is performing in the Christmas Carol at the RSC.....would be great for you to come over and have a look at the car and all the paperwork/receipts etc even if you think it’s not for you, at least you can use it as a benchmark for others you may want to see.
