If anyone down under is looking to replace their fuel filter, the local part number is Z479 manufactured by Ryco.

The asking price for that Ryco filter is a touch on the crazy side -
http://www.SuperCheapAuto.com.au want $45.99 for it!
According to this site:
https://www.fuelfilter-crossreference.c ... /RYCO/Z479There are 8 replacement fuel filters for RYCO Z479. The cross references are for general reference only, please check for correct specifications and measurements for your application.

The prices in Oz vary wildly, but all cheaper than the usually reasonably priced Ryco...

The part number on the filter that came with my car 20 years ago was AC Delco GF481, Just replaced it again last week with 1 I bought locally.
Looks like it's about AUD $14.55. Listed for the Elan and several other cars and cross reference numbers here

Good score Rambo. Locally it cost me a bit more ( I think I paid £12 for 1, but there was no shipping charges includes, so happy to still have a local supplier.
