boost gauge sender unit

Can anyone direct me to body fittings for the sender unit? the rubber plugs have disintegrated. Plus a new electric water pump while I'm here. S2 No.270

For body fittings search ebay for rubber rivnuts.
For coolant pump, search this site for Mercedes coolant pump. Can't recall the model or pump number, but definitely info on here and wikilec.

M5 Rawlnuts - I've got a box- could do a group buy.

The Coolant pump details are in the wiki - cheap on eBay but the terminls are different so you need to make up a lead from the old one.

suggest you use something extra to make sure the rubber nuts dont spin.
Every time i used rubber nuts so far i found them to not meet my expectations.

I Have used 2 part epoxy glue in the past, but i am not sure its the most suitable adhesive.
Maybe someone else can suggest alternatives that work better.

If the hole is the right size, you shouldn't need anything......

..... but they rarely are! - when the 'old' wellnut fails it will start to spin when you try to undo it, and the hole in the fibreglass will get "sanded" larger by the wellnut.

I usually use a dab of whatever I've got handy when I fit (or refit) them - Sikaflex, silicone, araldite or even a blob of butyl rubber..... and then use stainless screws in them so they don't corrode in place and start the 'twisting' process again next time.
