Been on the lotus forum TLF for a while, joined this as I may consider getting an M100 when I can't get in my Evora, and will be interested in other owners experiences of their M100's. I know SWLC quite well and they have the occasional M100 for sale, so hope get to actually drive one sometime.
My current Evora is my 10th lotus. It is almost exactly 40 years ago I bought my first one - an elite 501 from Len Street Chelsea.

Hi & welcome!
There is so much information available here to either help or confuse you - so feel free to ask anything you may need to know.
Based in Exeter, you are local to both SWLC & SJ Sportscars (2 of the most popular specialists for Lotus in the country, and both with a good knowledge of the M100)....
... you also benefit from a few local(ish) members on here who may well be able to assist you with specific information.

I would not have got back into lotus ownership if these 2 places were not within a reasonable distance. Have used both over the years.
Anyone in or near Exeter got an M100? Met a couple of M100 owners at the SWLC open day but I don't think they were too local to me.

Clemo is a font of knowledge on these cars, being a long-term owner of many, and currently custodian of a Jim Clark limited edition - he's in Torquay.

I'm not too far away in South Somerset - and indeed (I'm told

that) Exeter is our best local-ish shopping hub so we often make that trip. Anyway, you're welcome to have a good look over ours if you want to fix something up - maybe at Hendy's if they do an open day sometime? There's a few M100s local - one red one I see often - but not really any regular meets. The best maybe Refuel at Dunkerswell which is 3rd Sunday - next 21/11 - details
here. Its a generic petrolhead type meet, but several TLFers have been known to go along including James from SWLC quite often. Best M100 meeting is, IMO, Castle Combe in May.

Went to Castle Combe this year - a slow journey home. Had a chat with a couple o M100 and elite/excel owners. . Know the guys at Hendy as been in there a few times and also to see the Emira., and had a long chat with Scott Walker from the lotus factory. I know lotus want them to have some sort of opening do, but I don't think they have a lot of space, offered to take my gt430 along if they have a do. They are converting the adjacent area into Hendy performance so the current showroom will be lotus only.
Went to Re:fuel last month, only one lotus there Ian's evora sr, did have a few mins with James, I went in one of my remaining mg's.
Also want to see what the new lotus suv's are like as they should be easier to get in, but are probably too large. That is why I am interested in an M100. My current lotus is the most impracticable one I have ever owned.

Pacific blue S2 number 121 arrived yesterday. Driven a total of 8 miles today.
Will probably have a few queries, but at least I know James at SWLC, and my new car seems to know SJ well. So will possibly going over to SJ to chat about a couple of things. And will start a few tidying up jobs. Totally different feel to this car from any of the other Lotus I have driven.
