Grr...I just went out to admire y'days work and found a deep puddle of washer fluid below the screen-wash bottle

Carpet soaked...
So, I drained the bottle again, took it all back out - inc carpet bits to dry out - and found what seemed to be a small split
* along the seam of the bottom lhs fixing lug.
There's old drying marks around the wheel cover cardboard here so it might have been weeping, or a previous spillage, but I strongly suspect that I might have over-tightened the fixing screw/nut combination and made the leak worse...
Yep, now I fully understand 'mission creep'...
* not totally convinced it's a split, the pump is very close; I'll try putting some sealant around the pump gasket first when it's all dried out (and a small amount of water) to see if that worksAnother edit; the small split seemed 'cosmetic' when poked with a screwdriver, so I tightened up the pump (it's a fragile plastic screw-in effort), crossed my fingers, bolted it all back in, added a little washer fluid and it's got through the night w/out leaking further
. (Phew hope that's the end of it - that hidden screw is a bee..aa..tcch to reach!)
