Hi all,
I have some new door pockets to fit as the old ones are tatty.
Looking at removal - it appears they are retained into the door card - do I have to take the card off to remove them or is there another way?
Thanks!’

Whilst removal of the old ones is possible without removal of the door card - putting new ones in won't be possible!
There is a row of self-tapping screws along the base of the pocket, into the door card - these can be removed and replaced with the card as it is....
.... along the top is the elasticated strap, and this feeds through a seam sewn in the top edge of the pocket, and then threads through the door card and is secured to the rear face with either a screw or a rivet (I've seen both methods).
When I replaced mine, I used a length of the elastic cord that holds tent poles together - attached one end, then pulled it to the tension that I thought best, and secured the other end..... all fixed to the rear of the card.

The lh pocket that was in my car had the elastic broken, I bought a door card (that luckily came with a good pocket) to find out how it was fixed ,off eBay -Apollo? Also bought some 3mm? elastic off ebay to repair the original one.
Drilled a couple of extra holes a short distance from where they go in, so could use a bit of wire to drag the cord back in to the car side, and then screwed the clip things in with a couple of self tappers to get the tension right. Using one existing hole on either side. Then used some slightly larger tappers to hold the bottom of the pocket, as of course the little clips inside the door had fallen out after I took the original screws out. So when/if I do take the door card off can refit it properly, in the meantime it looks fine. Had to clean the s/h one and use some matt/satin leather finish as used on the seats.
