Hi all
I purchased my Elan in August 2021 but have only just joined. I have an M100 series 2 in Silk Red Metallic Edition 292. It is great condition having only done 45,000 miles and had just one previous owner from new. Not up to doing major stuff myself but fortunately it has been kept up to scratch including new cam belt recently. I had to have a new radiator this year plus some hoses that had perished. I have a problem with the alarm which is a retro-fit Clifford Concept 50x which seems to constantly drain the battery. I will have a look through the forum to see if the issue has cropped up before. Super car to drive and great to be part of the M100 community!

Alarm issues on S2's are a common feature, often all the alarm stuff gets removed, so you have to lock/unlock with the key. There is someone (well at least 1) who have managed to get an aftermarket remote fob to do the door locking/unlocking.

And that would be me! I’ve stripped out my old (and temperamental) OEM Gemini Aquila alarm, and replaced it with a Toad Ai606T2 with a central locking interface and remote window closure

Thanks for your response. Re: the alarm, looking on the Forum, I either fit a switch to isolate the supply when the car is in the garage, or replace the alarm with something more up to date. If I could find where they have hidden the Concept 50x control unit it would help!

That’s not where the OEM S2 alarm was located though, Mike. If PAC would like to email me, I can supply more details; I tend not to put alarm info on the open forum
