It's inevitable that many will want to discuss the new Forum operation, look, and options. Please use this thread for that purpose only.

Realize that we cannot accomodate most suggestions, but will look into any feasable add-ons.

I have some more features planned, one being the ability to add details about your own elan to your profile, so that we dont have signatures longer than the posts!

Some key new points to the new forum,

Speed:
You will notice that the site is now much faster, not just the normal pages but the forums pages will now process a lot quicker on the webhost, posting should be a fair quicker process, as well as browsing your favourite topics.

Search:
As you are no doubt aware the seach feature on the old forum wasnt very accurate, and was the slowest thing going, give the new search a good try, and you will be amazed at how quickly it returns your results.

There are some other new features that I will leave you to find out about yourselves, but any questions, fire away!

Is there a way to chnage display name rather than showing your login name?
i.e. I'd like Sy V...not Simon_V

No, but you can change your username so you can log in and post with Sy V
