Guys, I have been down this road before, it is kind of like arguing which computer is better, a Mac or a PC. What I can tell you that I have learned from my fun exchange is the following, MOVE ON! There can be no winner, don't get your blood pressure up (easy to do), just invite them to come to our site and learn about what we are doing with our "Lotus" cars and then let us get back to the more important issues of discussing one of Lotus' best ever TRUE sports car, the ELAN

Doc, they probably ain't old enough to understand !. Many elise owners over here are ignorant buggers for one reason or another, not all mind you.

Think the problem is, many are to young, & whilst there's nothing wrong with youth, they just need to appreciate what the've got, & where it came from. Mind you, you could just smack that Phyl guy in the mouth :twisted:

Ah Monty, don't forget this is in USA mate, know all Mk1's & lot of Mk2's are Rover over here, but there all Toyota over there.

Well, I've thrown my hat into the ring over there :-D

I've left it 'nice and cool' at the moment with just a short posting. Hopefully, the points I've raised will be sufficiently needling for the original author to come firing back at me

I've also tried to word it in such a way that it doesn't seem deliberately offensive towards anyone, whilst stating that it is MY opinion, not necessarily accepted fact, so tough, up yours!!!

If it comes back at me (hopefully it will :twisted:

I've got a much better diatribe drafted to throw at them. I just have to select the bits of my 3 page document which are particularly relevant, whilst maintaining the appearance of an unbiased observer.

Ah well, grab my hard hat and stick my head over the parapet!!!!

There was also a quick edit to the greeting which was originally 'Welcome to the home of Lotus' but is now 'Welcome, cool someone from the home of Lotus' :lol:
