Looks good Clemo

I'm sure I recognise that no plate. Maybe from Donington days or possibly Silverstone Classics the last few years (CL. Lotus stand ??)

Jim Clark S2 - 1/12. The one with the Yellow spoke wheels . No 613 on dash (pushed in to factory in wrong order 615 on tub)

That is a nice looking motor and as owner says this is very standard so does tick a lot of boxes, seems to be priced sensibly as well, can't see that hanging around for long
simplify and add lightness

Outrigger problems.............getting concerned now, if even a car that has been garaged last 10 years has succumbed to the dreaded tin rot then what hope is there for the other ones ?!

Outrigger issues are a worry, however I know Neil (Enright) bought a Blue car recently and when he checked the outriggers were in great condition so not all suffer from this fateful condition. I have sent a link on your other post to a specific topic which shows the good the bad and the ulgy.

Chesterfield is very much up that there north from where i live .
But then so are most places .

Oi, smarty-pants :smt097: Guy Munday !wasn't referring to that particular car. Just M100's in general I believe (p 31) ??

PS Diidn't the Blue Beast of Saddleworth Moor have an HVT plate ?

Found it. GM was after an S2. But he's also on the look out for good, low mileage SEs or S2's

After one of our guys had a look at it this car is an at Foulds having the suspect crunchy bits looked at.

The car is in at Foulds and is having the welding done both sides and being documented by Foulds as they do it .....

Good Evening to anyone looking in.

I'm the owner of the White Lotus which will be back with me on Thurs or Fri this week. Chris Foulds inspected it and there was no rot - just a small area round one of the standard sill holes next to the drivers seat and a small amount of surface rust further forward on the o/s where the floor meets the sill. For good order I'm having metal pieced in and welded along both sides for the full length of the sill. That should fix it for a very long time. There will be photos of the pre and post floorpan. If anyone's interested, the car will be available to view from Saturday near Brighouse, West Yorks. Just let me know. Clemo said put the info on Lotus Elan Central for a week and then Pistonheads if necessary. I'm happy to answer any questions and can email photos and a complete list of work done in the 9 1/2 years I've owned it. Thanks, Dave
