Hi,
There is a type of wire you can get to weld it just with a blow torch, I think you can get it from frost autos but not sure. I have seen this work it,s excellent.

Yep, you should be able to braze it if it's a reasonably clean crack with not too many bits. Find a local welding/brazing shop and ask their advice.
I can't remember if that part's alloy or ferrous? Despite a common belief that it's impossible, most cast iron can be welded too. But it's a very careful and specialist job there are cast iron welding specialists out there. I had an 80 year old grey iron lathe bed repaired by a company in Surrey recently, they did a great welding job on it with no measurable distortion.
