Radiator bleed plug bolt thingy!!

Ok. Here goes...

Replaced head gasket....
Replaced water pump...
Replaced belts tensioners etc......

Only for bleed plug thing to snap off in radiator

Managed to get it out with minimal effort

Any suggesetions on how to replace/alternatives/spare one lurking in cupboard somewhere?

Please someone help me

I feel for you. It's a standard metric thread - I think this was reported by dapinky (?) - I'll have a look - so you could use a metal set screw(bolt) for the time being - don't tighten it too tight though

I did that as well

I used an M12 setscrew with a suitable washer/'O' ring - it was intended to be temporary but as i ended up with new end-tanks anyway, soon got dumped.

There are 3 different thread pitches for M12 - make sure you use the correct one for your endtank - the wrong one will force itself in and ruin the thread in the plastic.

Ho Hum! When I sort this only CV boots and rear top suspension arms to replace.........Bugger!

I used a bolt as suggested intending it to be tempary. It is still there after five years and no problems.
