Doesn't even need to be that clever, I have a BT to RS232 converter, so it would just need an RS232 serial out (usual 9 pin D connector) from a PIC at a common baud rate.

If anyone fancies prototyping it, it can be easily tested.

Babel fish required!

Are we talking PIC microcontrollers or Personal Internet Communicators "internet access for people in emerging countries..." like Wales.

:smt023

So you haven't got a BT to RS232 converter! :smt017

At least we know what we're talking about, even if no-one else does Mark. I'd be interested in hearing what you're up to, but no hurry as we're off on holiday on Wednesday.

Is it just the Welsh dialect you can't understand?? :smt017

I thought that what I'd written was fairly straightforward? Maybe not. :?

So, now that's been clarified, back to my original question.

Can one of you harware guys come up with a black box that will act as a relay/translator/repeater (or whatever description will make Geoff happy) between a PC's 9-pin serial port and the ALDL interface, operating at 9.6k or 14.4k between the box and PC and at the correct baud from the box to the ECU?
