Recommended tyre PSI

What is the ideal tyre PSI for a 1991 Lotus Elan SE turbo please?

It can depend upon the tyre and ambient temperature in my experience, but the standard is 26.5.
You may want to try slightly harder and softer pressures either side of this to get the best handling feel for you.

It all depends what tyres you have.
The standard pressures for the original-spec Michelin MXX's for the SE were 28.5 psi alll round. When Michelin stopped making the MXX's and Lotus OK'd the Pilots for the Elan, the technical bulletin stated pressures should be 30 psi all round (I presume it would have had something to do with the reduced sidewall stiffness of the Pilots, but don't know).
If you have any tyres fitted apart from those two, you'll have to play around to find the optimum pressures, using the standard recommendations as a starting point.
