a) You may be surprised. You can pick up one for under £4k. (Sy's is worth considerably more than that).
b) You may be right. Worth a quote though?
c) They are not too bad. This site is a massive help, especially when it comes to sourcing alternative parts from other cars. If you can get one of the cheaper ones, it will almost certainly have faults, maybe minor, maybe major.
Get over to Donington at the end of the month if possible. You'll see loads of Elans, some of which may be for sale. You will also have a chance to chat to some owners.
