Hi ( from behind the bar @sy's local)

Postby liferider85 » Sat 08.03.2008, 14:28

Hi guys, my names Lee i'm 22 years of age and i live in Birmingham.
I currently work at The Wildmoor Oak behind the bar.
I drive a Peugeot 106 unfortunately, because i can't yet afford an Elan.
I'm an easy guy to get on with and am very passionate about cars.

Any other questions feel free to contact me.

Have you been for a ride in Sy's then?

If you are really keen, you could go to Donington at the end of the month. There will be a huge collection of Elans there

Thinks she owns the place.

I have asked Sy if i can have a drive, but he never answered, and i wouldn't mind a ride in 1 to see what they are like on the road.

Lol fair enough, i'll have to ask Sy see if he will take me for a blast in his Elan, becuase i really want 1.

Doubt i can: a) Afford 1, b) insure 1 and c) keep it running.

:gray: Gary hardly ever takes either of his Elans out. I don't blame him about the S2. I would not want to be seen in a Medina Green one  The other one belongs to his wife.
& Bromsgrove would be way out of his range

a) You may be surprised. You can pick up one for under £4k. (Sy's is worth considerably more than that).
b) You may be right. Worth a quote though?
c) They are not too bad. This site is a massive help, especially when it comes to sourcing alternative parts from other cars. If you can get one of the cheaper ones, it will almost certainly have faults, maybe minor, maybe major.

Get over to Donington at the end of the month if possible. You'll see loads of Elans, some of which may be for sale. You will also have a chance to chat to some owners.

Is 50p considered 'considerable' then?

Not at all. You just won't be in the Elan convoy or car park.
Unless you can park up somewhere and grab a lift of someone. I am sure there will be loads of seats available.
