What's a staminor? I'm guessing it's the small stable in a courtyard :-D
What's happening with the car, is it fixed and ready to go to the spray painter's yet?

Just to stop the tittle tattling :( , & because i'm aware a lot more than most of how these jobs can mount up !, we took some expert advice at the weekend & managed to put together some costings of complete repair of the car, & without going into detail, it was to much for SBK, so this car will be stripped & put to better use elswhere, which was always our other option anyway.

there comes a point when you have to sit back and think is spending all this money really worth it, and the answer is no, so there will be a few parts up for sale :( :( :(

I could have the front end fixed up for about £500 incl Bumper, GRP repair and re spray if that's any help?

Will be a shame to see it taken to pieces.

Cheers,

Phil

You certainly will, it's a nice looking car especially the interior!

Well i don't agree !, & i don't agree because ive got the facts & figures !, & sorry Phil, but you wouldn't buy a clam & bumper for £500, let alone the rest of bits & spray it .

Ahh..... but you are failing to account for the fact that Phill is the "fabricator/body man" for the BOLLECKS* boys!

He is a fibreglasser/laminator/etc man by trade (and I know he has a spare bumper under his bed). Having seen the quality of his glass repair works & fabrications, I would think that if he says it can be mended, then it probably can (and to a indistinguishably high standard of vision/strength)

He is also a dab hand with a spray gun!

As he is currently seeking a full-time employment in his (other) chosen field of excellence, this side of his ability tends to remain hidden, but it almost looked like an official estimate/quote to me

In fact, the only thing that would perhaps put him off is if someone had been daft enough to canibalise any parts of the bodywork with a 24" wood panel saw - but who'd do a thing like that?
Dave

Just the one now, but this one's mine! - and it will be finished eventually..... - but also temporary custodian of a project until it is finished enough for Angie to drive it

...oh, and a 2006 Freelander destined for the jungles of The Gambia - 4500 miles across roads, desert and tracks - what could possibly go wrong?
