In an effort to keep this as anonymous as possible, please take a few minutes to read this http://www.glcforum.com/esprit/forums/i ... topic=8361

You'll see I've got the go ahead from the guys there to make it common knowledge. I think it's great to see that sort of esprit de corps (no apologies for pun) in other forums too.

Well found, Sy.

Erm, no, sorry! It would then be searchable on Google in a couple of days and spoil the big surprise!

How about this, click on log in on www.lotusespritforum.com and use the username LEC and password lec and you can see it then without having to register.

Hi and Thanks

Postby Kimbers » Thu 15.02.2007, 23:58

To help along our closer ties I thought I better introduce myself.

Sy knows me as I met him both at Stoneleigh and Bristol (with several others of your members). I am also a Moderator on LEF where I am known as PinkerGod. I was originaly KimberGod but I got royal stitched up at our Lotus Charity event....it's a long story, but I ended up wearing a flourescent Pink shirt for 2 days!

My name is Anthony Kimberley and my dad is Mike Kimberley (current Chairman at Lotus). Though for yourselves he's prob. better known as the man who instigated the M100 project. Apart from that he was project leader on the Europa TC, Elite, Eclat, technical Director on the Esprit and heavily involved in the Sunbeam, Carlton and Excel. If thats not enough he was on the design team for the Jag E-type V12.

I have registered here to pass on my thanks to all of those who have aided us in the above item. it's a cracking cause and really worthwhile. At LEf we are actively involved in charity and this culminated in us raising over £5500 for Macmillan at an all weekend pissup.....sorry event, which saw us Hooning with 93 other Esprits and having a 70 car static display at Gt Yarmouth. If you want to see more of what we do go to LEF if you can and check out sub-section Lotus Factory day 2006 or click on this (no membership required):

Thanks again all, hope to see you all soon.

The second link is the same, don't know why it didn't work!

It was a great day and though we will prob take a rest this year we are considering opening it up to other clubs on our next event.

Jesus (pun intended)! :D
Actually I remember Sy posting about meeting you.
You were driving a new Europa, and he got some pics of Stripey parked next to it if I remember rightly.

Nice to see some good spirited cross-forum dialogue, long may it continue and good luck with the Esprit "project".
