No problem! :-D

I'd be in for either the 2 piece design (like Rogers) or a 1 piece, adjustable design like the Shark, adjustable as no two Elans are alike.

Eitherway, Elise rear lights are a must

Phil, if i was u i wouldn`t get involved with the fed spec as there spoiler is different which IIRC which means there eyebrows are different and that was one of the reason LGM was asking for UK spec eyebrows. Think LGM will be doing the Fed type :?

BTW have u worked out how to get round the number plate lights?

I have come up with a flexible system to manufacture the back panel, allowing a wide range of light sizes to be used and updated.

There are no eyebrows for this panel. I consider them a fix or an adapter to get the stock Alpine lights to fit an Elan body.

If Marie has the Fed spec covered, then I shall leave it up to her, but I can taylor this product to a custom design.

If you like your reg plate plinth there is no reason you should have to change it: e.g. I can easily make the panel without the plinth section.

I like to be dynamic with my work. :-D

New reg plate light options are 2 strait bulbs or strip of LEDs (£20 each) lit from the top. Watch this space

Kool :-D

Just going back to the fed option, was just worried if u didn`t know the differences (as if I do :? ) just sounds like u`ll have to make 2 different patterns :? Think Maries option is the 2 separate light units so the Fedral guys may still be up for the one piece option.

Are u any good with a spary gun LOL :-D

Not too bad with a spraygun! LOL! I no longer have access to one so I use someone else who has a garage and spray kit, he's also cheaper than me! LOL so I'll probably get him to prime the panels and B-Post caps and maybe do a few of the common colours to keep the cost down for the guys buying these panels. :D

Phil,

Whatever you do, get your angles right, so the water doesn't puddle behind the number plate.

Hey guys,
I've only just got around to reading this post,
I too feel that the Elan looks 'aged' from the rear and would love a set of these lights, I'm not fussy any of the options would suit me as long as they are not too expensive, any idea what we are looking at as a guestimate of price?

8)

OK!
I really need some volunteers please, to buy their lights so I can make fittings for them and make sure everything has been allowed for before I design the mould. Only one of each type of course.
No lights will be harmed during the making of this product. :D

So far the contenders are:

Elise Series 1 (Bulbs)
Elise Late - LEDs (Resistor pack required)
Hella LEDs (comes with resistor packs)
Bova Coach Lights (Bulbs)
and possibly generic (cheap) Kit Car lights

Please put you protests and support forward now as the model needs to be finished this week.

Cheers,

Phil

Happy to fork out for some early Elise lights; before I do, can you confirm that they will be either recessed slightly, or flush with the panel?
Don't really fancy a bug-eyed rear end.

Yes, recessed more at the bottom, not much at the top.

No obligation to buy the panel.
If you (or anyone) don't like the pannel for some little niggle, then I can customise the panel to your requirements at a minimal cost.

I'll pay postage :D

Cheers David!
