The site has been down for 7.5 hours at least, I think!

I'm very sorry about not informing anyone of it, but it is only because I didn't know it was going to happen. Our host had to have an emergency downtime lasting 3 hours, but once that was done they encountered other problems which then had to be fixed. This affected nearly all the sites on their servers and they're a rather large company... However, why they didn't email their customers about it, I don't know. They have always done so in the past regarding minor things...

I'm sorry if anyone had problems getting to the site. Hopefully it's back up to stay

All I wanted was to inform about it. I cannot control these servers, but thought I could at least inform of why it has been (and possibly will be) down.

If people know about the problems they may not be so surprised if the site goes down again. I thought that would be a better option than not posting at all...

When Liz says "down-time" it might not be what you're thinking about. Anyway, I thought you weren't feeling well enough for any of that sort of thing at the moment.

Me too! I was getting fretful and (more) irritable without my hourly fix.
