Full Exhaust Quote/ Possible Group Buy

Monty and Dico, you guys have confused me a bit, i have quoted for the exhaust to start from the precat back, as in take the precat off and then start the exhaust, is that what you thought ? The other thread about the precat replacement is changing the piece above this too i believe ?<br>

<br><br>Steve, your right, were after replacing the precat and the whole exhaust. When stevo started his thread he was just doing the precat but now he`s doing the other bit which goes to the back of the turbo (like the one Sy had made up) which i`m not to bothered about. Need to keep price down as i`ve ordered the Wilwood brake upgrade so i`m in to my overdraft  ::)

Yep u`ve got it, it`s all down to the flanges, i would think that the blokes doing steve`s exhaust system will just have one flange which will go to the manifold/turbo, cause less flanges the better for the keeping cost down. unless paul u state to steve that u just want u`r system up to the precat, so u could fit Stevo`s part, but u would have to make sure there going to fit. Thats why i`m just going for Steve`s system, just keep it simple.<br><br>Hopefully Steve`s system should look like this, (poor nige his picture gets about LOL)<br><br><br>Steve, if the exhaust place doesn`t give a garantee with the unfitted version, we would want it quite a bit cheaper for a cash job ???

My gearbox/bearing is making a bit of a nasty noise...whats this got to do with it you might ask?.<br><br>Well depending on how much the gearbox problem is I will be up for replacing my current 2.5" system. <br><br>I'm probably the closest to ashford than any of you so I'm happy to volunteer my S2 to go in for the initial fit. I could also show the guys what we don't want by showing them the current "drainpipe with squishes" that is attached underneath my car! <br><br>Reason I volunteer is that timescale wise I can probably do without the car for a week or so (benefit of being home office based!). Anyhow the offer is there steve, and if you want to meet up with the guys in ashford just let us know...<br><br>Oh yeah, that makes it 6 possible exhausts I guess - so we'll get the price down some more  ;D

Paul, i got the impression they will make them all at the same time and test fit them to my car so they will all be identical. Easy fit for a garage or even at home for some braver than me !<br><br>Monty, OK mate were on the same ball park  :) that pic is exactly what it should be like  :)<br><br>Dico, theres no way the 2 will be comaptiable, if you go for Stevo's you would have to then have a custom fit from that back although this will be easier to get done as it's the precat thats the tricky bit.<br><br>Timmay, so you would want the same as me a full system with high flow cat ? I'll bear all that in mind cheers.

Yep - full system, remove precat and custom fit flange to 2.5" all the way back, high flow main cat, backbox, the lot

Monty thats for a full system as in the first post just no main cat so a through pipe instead and a pre cat eliminator included.<br><br>£480 plus vat seems great to me as paul mattys is £400 plus vat and thats only 2.25" and no precat piece at all !

Wonder if they would waver the vat for a cash deal ?, that would make it a reasonable price !

Would think PM would have his exhaust made up by someone else and he will put his cut on top. U`r dealing with the Exhaust place direct, just doesn`t sound like u`r getting a big discount considering there`s a possible order for 6  ??? and if there`s no garantee then its way to expensive. think most of us was hoping for less than £500 with out fitting. Monty dont really see your point ? it's £80 more for a full 2.5" as opposed to 2.25" and you a precat eliminator ? For this kind of equipment what are you comparing the price too ? i'm confused ?<br><br>

Monty has got a point there, PM does get his exhausts from outside supplier, so he will be putting his cut on it, don't think im being negative, but i do think, if you mention Lotus these suppliers just up there price, in my opinion £480 is quite enough for what were getting as once theve made one, the others should be easy !
