I had a look and its not fully compatible but its probably not too far off. It uses the BP7 syntax for object creation (see here and probably other stuff - some rewriting will be needed. The, perhaps, bigger issue is that I used a few classes in ES that probably won't be available to this compiler. I'll take a look anyway.
It takes 43 muscles to frown and 17 to smile, but it doesn't take any to sit on your arse with a blank look on your face.

Alan,

Des has obviously seen the error of his ways and gone for a W98 machine instead. TFFT!

Alan , Geoff,

i must thank you both for your efforts, without your advice i would

i have bought "Toshiba Libretto 100CT" likewise for its
size, but hopefully more suitable.

Apologies, but I've had to put the USB development to one side for the moment. I'll be in touch when I get back on it.

Alan

Is there an alternate site from where one can download Elanscan.

I'm getting this at the normal site:

Sy,

Same here. I was going to ask Alan if I could post a copy on my website but I didn't get around to it, sorry. If you haven't resolved it by tonight, give me a shout and I'll e-mail you the latest.
