Steve, i`m still interested. Just trying to justify the price in my head LOL  ::)<br>I wouldn`t think there would be a great difference in material price between 2 1/4 and 2 1/2. AS i`ve said John.w got his done for £350 2 1/4" fitted. so i was allowing £400 for the exhaust and say £100 to £150 for the elimantor but that would be fitted. <br>So when u think about it, is this guy saying his exhaust is worth say add on £100 for discount + £50 fitting = £630 + vat ???<br><br>Lets see if u can get vat free  ;)<br><br>

Monty still not with you mate ? where did john d get his done and what quality is it ? theres no doubt you can get cheaper if you change this or that but then if thats what you want then this exhaust isn't for you, this is a no compromise system with everything needed for the Elan.<br><br>As for Grahames system it is not the same at all, Grahame has no racing cat just a pipe to swap his original in and out, the racing cat is £260 plus vat alone ! and no pre cat eliminator so given your figures thats 500 + 150 + 260 + vat or am i missing something ?

Think 2 silencers is a personal thing becasue of noise, powerspeed say there will be very little rise in volume just deeper with there 1 rear silencer.

Steve, lets just see what final price is, & if they will deal for cash, then we can all make our minds up, i appreciate what they are proposing to do & round about £500 for cash sounds a reasonable price.

The exhaust u propose does sound like a good system. Monty<br>My system is a straight through type, where it differs is in the area of the main cat, I run the car sans cats therefore trying to eliminate restrictions, I have had flanges made up attatched to my main cat so when I go for a MOT I slip the cat back into the system (removing the bypass pipe) and hopefully passing the emission test  :-/

Monty<br>With the stock main cat, since it won't be in the system long I didn't feel like shelling out the extra for s/s. The bypass pipe is in s/s though.<br><br>The two systems are different and both acceptable, I just chose a non cat jobby while Avonvilla is going down the road of a nice sports cat which will save the hassle of swapping.

Out of interest, just had a reply back from Exhausts UK about replacing the pre-cat, they quoted £75 on top of the £295 to fit & replace the rest, although they did say they would need to see it before giving firm quote !

Paul sounds to good to be true that :-/ if it is thats cheap just can`t see them doing the pre-cat replacement for £75 but even so if it cost £150 u`r talking £450 all in and fitted. Just wish i could find someone local  ::)
