I shall be watching this thread as much as I can and will keep dreaming that one day I may have the Home-space and time to do the same to the Sh4rk.
Exige S2 240 - Elan S2 Sh4rk (sold)
Power 362hp (437hp NOS)
FasteR Magazine: As far as we can tell, Sh4rk's engine will be one of the few things that will be still standing after a nuclear war!

Better off with a greenhouse, less risk of melting the car

11.30 Sunday night now and seems like the first time Ive sat down since Friday morning, managed to get the shell painted though. My fingers ache after spending the best part of 17 hours rubbing down shell with 800grit wet or dry - wet of course. For anyone thats interested, shell primed with standox 2k high solids primer then painted with 3 coats of standox brilliant black basecoat and finished off with 2 coats of standox 2k crystal clear laquer and then baked at 60 degrees c for 90 mins. Monday will see a few hours spent with the machine polisher not that there's much to do, the finish was pretty good off the gun!
So all I have to do now is : 2 doors
1 bonnet
1 front top shell
1 boot lid
1 spoiler
1 hood stowage lid
2 head lamp pods
2 bumpers
1 fuel flap
Hope Ive got enough colour to see that lot through!
Anyway having painted the shell I can now concentrate on starting the big change over of parts
The rest will be painted at a later date

Cor that's good! Do you mind posting how much you paid for the idler and tensioner pulleys?
Ah. I see you have done now.
What shocks me is how quickly the work is progressing.
