I agree, those creating further accounts to continue this nonsense need to stop.

I will be reverting accounts back to normal in due course. I'm currently in work so can't do so at the moment.

Well done Tony. I think all offenders should be noted on their profile with an appropriate status

This is to stop right now, please.
I will address the matter with the miscreants, individually, when I have time.
In all the years we've been in existence we've never had this sort of pathetic behaviour. Accounts and IP addresses can be barred, if necessary.
We have a team of admins, mods and site developers/designers who are all thoroughly fed up with it.

Thought i`d post this here since Sy has Locked the thread in the News section and couldn`t reply.

Think Sy statement was a bit strong and think there`s a bit of confusion. Nobody altered anyone elses account, I only changed my username for a laugh and to confuse people for a short while (which many found funny) but Mr stevens stop the name changing so i couldn`t revert back to my name and that was the only reason it carried on longer than intended. So i only changed my account and didn`t start any new ones  there was other people behinde the scene and one of them out ranks anyone on here. So i make no apology.

Don`t take life to serious

Monty, I don't think the post by Sy was aimed 100% at yourself.

Glad we are all back to normal.

Must admit I was suprised to hear that people had altered other people's accounts. I though that only an admin could do that...

I think like Monty says it just started off as a bit of fun and got a bit out of hand for whatever reason

Can't let Monty have all the free caps, I demand my share.

Firstly a very sincere apology to Sy and family for getting dragged into what after started out as a very immature, pre-school playgroup prank.

It must look pretty stupid looking back on it without understanding what was going on at the time, and I'm not quite sure where it all went wrong, but from where I was sat (on the floor p***ing myself laughing most of the time it was going on) Monty was geof[ONLY ONE F'IN GEOFF]smith, Dico was confused and so was I but I quickly twigged what was happening, I then changed myself into Cary, Dico was more confused, then I changed myself to Sy[NOSPACE]V, had some fun, then changed myself into Doug[DOT], then Monty's avatar changed to Sy eating a Donington delicacy, then Sy[SPACE]V's avatar changed to the aforementioned picture of Sy (leading me to believe that he was entering into the puerility of it all), then I sent a PM to JohnnyBenk and he replied to Doug, then both Monty and I were trapped by some fiendish computer wizardry and couldn't change usernames anymore, then for some inexplicable reason I changed into the Mischief King (where I've been ever since), I opened accounts in the name of Sy[NOSPACE]V and T5tevens for my wife Valerie Yvette Smith {she's dyslexic] and son Thadeus Trevor Tony Timothy Thomas Tyrone Evan Smith {who likes to be known as Thadeus with five more T's Evan Smith but keeps misspelling Evan} or possibly to wreak revenge.

Hope that clears things up for the non-participants.

Anyway, I notice that Monty has been changed back to his former self, so I look to him for advice on how far up the tongue the brown ring has to go (not the tonsils like Gary, surely) to get my username back.

Remember, life's a bitch and then you die - if I had died on Friday night, I would have died happy.

I have been watching this post wend its way with name changes and now even a title change. I would be lying if i didn't have the odd titter at what was going on especially as i know the individuals personally.

However (here we go!!), when you start to play around with the mechanics of the forum, if unchecked this could lead to a break down of its smooth running. To someone who has joined the forum this could be very offputting. Therefore i agree with Admins stance on this matter and in the speedy manner in which it was dealt with.

This is a great site, with a good mixture of on and off topics but lets keep it sane. Nuff said.
Could the 'Hokey-Cokey' actually be what it's all about?

Geoff I returned your name to normal.

I didn't change it back straight away as it was not I that had changed it to Mischief and did not feel it my place to be changing something Doug had set as it's his site.

well, it was either that or change your rank

I'm not quite sure what "kitty fiddler" means in English slang, but the more I see and think about it, the more it seems perfect for you :-D

Was the Bard involved in this japery or is there some other reason that the Admins have had him eliminated?
