Nick, prefix A is ICI, prefix B is dupont, I suggest you phone Lotus Customer Service department on 01953 6080000 quote your Vin number in full, they keep a record of every cars colour that has left the factory. [smiley=gun_bandana.gif]

I'd guess at ICI as i thought all SE Calypso Red were in ICI and the S2' s were in Dupont.
Mine's certainly Dupont as i've recently had the bumper/lights resprayed!

Sorry for dmmy questions:
Where I can read the color cod in my Elan??
I have red Elan (1992),what s the color code of my cars?ICI or DUPONT?
If I understood incorrectly forgive me, are you looking where the code is printed on the car? If you are, it is printed on a sticker in the front of the engine compartment (paint code is written below the vin number i guess) and in the right for u.s.a. cars i believe...

On the engine stickers there should be a code with either A## or B##.
This is your paint code, just post it and we will let you know.

I was looking at my paint code but it`s not on the sticker in the engine bay + there`s no trim number

It`s weird as according to the manual it should be there
Anyways ICI was used till June 1991 so after that it was Du Pont
