Right lads, those Porsche ones are too expensive for me now, so bid away.

Guess I'll just go for some plain black ones now.

Final question, do I need 17 or 19 MM for standard SE wheels ?
Ex owner of S2 no 480 and Red SE

If you've got standard SE bolts they'll be 19mm.

Of course you could try measuring them with the wheel brace (it's in the boot, at the blunt end of the car, under the carpet)! :wink:
Or a spanner/socket...

if you ever use a garage then just remember to tell them and leave them the tool......it could be funny watching them trying to get a socket to fit..... :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

They're covers. They DO look the part though.

I think covers are preferable. It doesn't take a lot to damage the head of a bolt, especially a nice shiny chromed one. So how much did you pay Paul?

That'll be£11 quid plus £3.50 p&p for 20 (giving some spares), or £9 + p&p for 16 from the same supplier.

Thanks John, I'd originally looked at the ad and after a quick glance at the picture, I thought they were bolts. Having read the text now, it all becomes clear. :bonk:

Thanks for answering those questions John :-D

They are just covers. I had to get 19mm for my SE wheels. And I went for the set of 20, to leave me spares incase they get any scratches.

They are a very 'snug' fit but the set comes with a small tool for removing them.

I put a little grease on each of my nuts....(oo er missus)
they are still quite stiff to get of as they are a very snug fit!

This is one of those rare moments were I don't make any sense.

I'm intending to fit the lovely wheel studs/nuts you provided this summer, maybe even next weekend when I change the brake hoses.
So why have I just purchased a set of chrome cap covers for my current wheel studs? Because they looked nice and shiney, and were there :? ? :P
I blame Paulwatkins myself for his impressive photo!

no I think youve got the wrong end of the stick......
I posted a pick of the nut covers which are on my car.....paul has now also done this after seeing mine......everyone else keeps refering to pauls pic and not the one Id posted earlier...so I was just stating that everyone thought pauls nuts were shineyer than mine...
basically still playing out the silly pun of having shiney nuts...oo er missus
