Sometimes you come across extraordinary signs of wear after 13 years of service. this fan refused to work properly after the fanholder disappeared slowly......<br><br><br>

Wilcox,<br><br>I bet that most of our fan housings look like that ?  My left hand one certainly does !!   Still hanging on, but only just.<br><br>Mild steel + salt + water + O2 = rust<br><br>Trust me - I'm a chemist !!<br>

UR right rambo.<br><br>I only discovered  :owhen the other fan left it's housing, which made a particular sound. Any average fanholder in a french car wouldn't look better after 14 years.<br>Other advantage: Brand new cooling system! <br><br><br>wilco

Now that is scary  ??? as I bought two fans from a parts stall at Stoneleigh and one of them had exactly the same level of 'wear' as the one in picture.<br><br>If I didn' know better, I'd have put money on the fact that the fan in the picture is my fan out of the garage.<br><br>So it doesn't boad well for the rest of our 'fleet', as he reaches for a tin of trusty hammerite (silver smooth).
