Delta,
Condolences. Sometimes "defensive driving" isn't enough.

Tonight somebody pulled out of a junction in front of me on a 50 mph road - I missed him, but only because there was nobody coming the other way. I was lucky and you were not.

Best of luck getting it fixed.

John :-/

OMG, Delta! :o Geez! :o I'm really sorry this happened. Looks like it's just the front quarter; hope that's all. Glad you're not hurt.

Delta,

Please consider building a bullbar on your elan especially if you feel there are more old ladies in your neigborhood. They are for some strange reason (certainly the wrong one) attracted to Elans.....

get well soon

I sympathise Delta and hope you get it fixed OK and without too much hastle. If it's any consolation, 10 days ago I survived a nasty accident in a hired Ford Mondeo hatchback that's now about the size of a Rover 25! Got hit from behind by a massive truck and pushed into a queue of stationary cars in front. 9 cars were damaged! I got whiplash, several grazes and bruises plus a black eye and a bloody nose from the airbag. I'm on the mend now but still driving a bit slower than I did before - I guess that will wear off soon enough! I just thank God that I was driving a modern NCAP 4* rated car and not the Lotus.

Thanks for all your support guys.

I hope the repair can be done in a short time, as I have made a fair deal with the insurance. They pay me for dooing the repair myself, as we dont have Lotus dealers/workshops in Denmark. So now I'm in the marked for all the needed parts.

Elanbloke.
You must consider yourself as lucky, as it's this kind of accidentes you normally don't survive. :-X Hope you have a speedy recovery. :)
Best luck
Delta.

Glad to hear that you are okay and that everything worked out with insurance. Upsetting to see pictures of bent up Elans- makes me worry about taking mine out on the road!

Best of luck repairing, Delta- I'll let you know if I see anything on parts that might help...
