Tried both ours and Nitroman's ECM on a friend's M100. No problems at all with the ECM. More fun tomorrow night as we try to figure out exactly where that electrical issue is!

I have not read-up on this in the manuals but because this problem is similar to the problem I had years bad I am curious to see what the problem is, I think I might get the manuals out for fun and look through them a bit. :?

I wonder if the coils give a signal to the ECU that is needed for the injectors? :?

If you need it I have a Lotus test light that fits between the injector and the wire connection and lights up if the injector is getting a signal. I can send it down

Even though i`m clueless on anything technical
I was thinking of something similar and wonder if it`s anything to do with the CAS :? I know the CAS controls the timing for spark and did wonder if it had anything to do with controlling the injection cycle :?

Jack, sorry to hear this problem is still on going. Hope u get it sorted ASAP

Well, we're now done! Turns out injector #4's coils were bad.

When we tested the wires, 2 and 4 wires were bad. So after unwrapping all the wires and not finding anything wrong (shuffling them probably "fixed" the bad connection), we tested out the cylinders again with the "fixed" wiring. Still 2 and 4 out. On a lark, we plugged in 2 but not 4. Wow, we were running on 3 cylinders! We tested 4 and not 2, we were still firing on two cylinders.

Once we figured that out, we concluded that the bad wiring probably caused the coil in the injector to go bad. We searched the world over for a set of new injectors. Isuzu has one injector in stock in their warehouse - at $245 a pop! Whoa. We ended up finding a set of 4 from RC (mechanic sourced it) for $550 rather than $1000.

So for anyone who has a pair of cylinders fail, it might be a bad injector though the symptom is there's a bad electrical connection.

Thank you everyone for all your help and advice!
