kmckmc DoubleHoops Rollover Bar - COMPLETED and in black

Postby kmckmc » Fri 27.04.2007, 06:57

Hi,

I am in the process of making a newly designed DoubleHoops Rollover Bar for Elan M100. It began in early April. What I have shown here is not the END PRODUCT. The guy who undertakes this project has designed/manufactured FIA approved rollover cages. He promised to do a good job for Elan M100.

Thus far, Reinforcement has been made to places where Elan M100's rear speakers are located. This involves drilling some additional holes for that reinforcement plate's installation.

This particular RollOver Bar is made for M100s with S2 console. It can be made for standard SE console.

Special features:
Sideway Rigidity
LOWER REINFORCEMENT to rollover bar and

Additional Stability
SIDE REINFORCEMENT TO B-POSTS (need modification to plastic B-POSTS parts.

Before installation picture:

This is the doublehoops rollover bar model:
This has a lower horizontal reinforcement feature.
It also has 2 sidebar reinforcements to both B-posts.

The rollover bar is on its way to be rewelded and painted to black color. It should take about 10 days.

Cheers,

Hi Jimbob,

The diameter of the tube is 40mm, and the thickness is 2mm.
This steel/alloy material is Japanese made. It is very high quality for rollover cages/bars purpose. I will get more information or his import documentation.

Cheers,

Congratulations. It turned out very nicely done :smt023

I bet now you are very happy enjoying how much more solid your Elan structure is after adding the rollbars.
