Thank's Ratman, but the problem is realy costant. No one run without misfire, punctual like a Swiss clock, after 15/20 minuts!
Any more...the water bottle cap is new, like the coolant tank.
Some time ago yoy was finding the "magnetic pick-up", why? Have you find it? And were?
This is my last attempt, after this I have only to come to the Lotus in Rome.

have you tried my suggestions that I posted earlier?

"Another rudementry test would be to disconnect the intake pipe that runs to the throttle body. This will mean that the car is now N/A for all intensive purposes. It will be way down on power but if this eliminates the problem then you will know its a turbo related issue."

tracing the problem by process of elimination wil give youa rough idea what it could be. The afore mentioned test is a good starting point on computer controlled turbo cars as it eliminates the computer's turbo maping and corresponding sensors from the equasion. If the problem persists after the turbo has been disconnected then your looking at an ignition or timing sensor issue. if it does not then your looking at a BSV or ignition related issue and the computer is safe guarding the engine.

So, I'm very very tired.
I have called to Lotus-Rome.
Appointment for wednesday 8 agoust, 8 in the morning.
230 km to go and 230 km to come back.

Just come back from LOTUS ROMA always with my faithful trouble.
They need time to try and find the problem, but they haven't for the vacation.
So....only some look around to the connection and something other, but....whitout good news.
The only pretty thing is that the owner of the concessionaire has engaged itself to subject my problem to engineers LOTUS in Great Britain….

BUT NOW?

Please I need to try another complete CAS....Where I can buy one (used too!)?

Luca,

What about if we were to try your (suspected faulty) CAS on a known good car?
Then, if the good car develops the same problem, we can be sure that the CAS is faulty and it can be repaired or replaced.
The only thing is, it means you must take off your CAS and post it to someone to try, which means you will be without your car for up to a couple of weeks. I don't mind helping as I have (or can get) all the parts needed to repair yours, and am familiar with the assembly - see here.

If I resolve my Elan's trouble I will listen that song fifty times. Promised.

BUT NOW....another new. My Elan don't have the blue CO potentiometer. The connector near the ECM is "alone".
Can be this connected with my trouble??

I'm just back from holiday and catching up with things. Sorry to hear you're still having problems.

Did you check/change the thermostat?

Have you posted any more ElanScan runs up?

Has Alan (ESM) seen/commented on your ElanScan runs?

I seem to remember it was an SE, but didn't notice any problems with the CO signal in Elancan. I've just asked Alan if he can cast an expert eye over them.

Bad news guys....I'm still in holiday, with my sic Elan. But now she has decided don't run!!
So, I'm studying all the servic manuals more than how much I have studied my engineering's books.

Now I'm at the "CHART EMJ. 4-3", Page 3 of 3, Point 11. Here I can read:

"CKT'S WR 11X OR W11Y GROUNDED,CONNECTED TO VOLTAGE OR OPEN"
.....so, what's mean? What I can controll?

My car is a 1992 catalitic SE.
The thermostat is ok. No new but it works right.
No more Elanscan file, AND NOW NO MORE RUN!
No ALAN'S words, may be he is in holiday like all us.

AND THANK YOU TO EKAPOL AND MARIE...IT'S NICE A SMILE IN MY TEARS'S VALLEY....now I let all and I come in vacation to San Francisco!!!

FOR GEOFF: I know I had received my new "PAYPAL CARD" at my house in the city, next week I will comeback at home from the holiday.

FOUR HOUARS WORKING BUT....NOW SHE IS COME BACK!!!

(A fu....ng open wire in the WR 11X!)

Now I haven't time to try, but tomorrow I will say if this was an ulterior problem or "THE ONLY ONE"!
