Wood! Checquer (can't spell that) plating! Red paint everywhere!

I agree. Very teenaged.

I also didn't like the wheels after I photoshopped them in.

I like them in black (only).
But I'd never buy one!!! Elise everytime...

Let's hope he doesn't have a Blue Peter session with this MX5!!!

Actually I hope he DOES - and then posts the results here for us to have a giggle at. As long as he's not defiling any more Elans then I'm all for the entertainment!

So what are you looking to buy East Kilbride trolleydolley? A pristine S2 Elan for £3k or an Elise, or maybe a black MX5? I'm sure you and JB would have some interesting discussions on the MX5 forum.

Actually... You bunch of piss taking nobbers (a select few of you-they know who they are)... I'm off to look at an S2 tomorrow (having flown into the UK for a viewing). And it's with an owner that knows what they're really worth. It's the right money!
None of you dreamers get my money!!!
But we'll see...
And if I buy it, I can add it to my Original CAR magazine with the original Elan feature. The Performance Car magazine with the Elan SE feature. My Limited Edition Shell Petrol models from the mid-nineties. My Classic Car magazine with Elan features. And my original (given to me by Ryland Lotus in the Summer of 95-how many of you have got those, particularly given to you and not bought from Flea-Bay?) S2 Auto Car feature and original S2 dealer booklet with price lists and S2 info' ...
Sorry! Just wanted to make a few of you jealous!
And for your info'... I don't live in the UK either. Hence the time and constraints of my search. And being a bit of a perfectionist!
So mine will be a holiday home car!!!
But I hope 'you' (the people that have been rude only). Enjoy the rain on your soft top as much as I'll enjoy thinking about you in the rain!!! Whilst I'm sat in the sun!... Ha, ha...
Apologies to most everyone here, but a few people just keep pushing...

You haven't even bought a car yet and you're up to nearly 80 posts already?
And with a post like that, who do you expect to want to help when you need to ask advice about any problems?!?

That really isn't a very good way to start your ownership - you need people on your side, not looking at the ceiling and saying "oh God, not HIM again" every time you post.

And that wasn't taking the piss - it was trying to make you see sense.

:banghead: :smt062 :smt102

All I did was accept the wager which you offered.. :smt102

Besides, I think the value of the car varies between buyer's and seller's perspective - it's all about compromise and everyone being happy with the deal - and sod anybody else - it's none of their business!

(And i would have an elan as a holiday-home car, but there isn't room in the garage without evicting the '67 Shelby fastback or the van - and I cant take all the kids to disney in an elan  )
Dave

Just the one now, but this one's mine! - and it will be finished eventually..... - but also temporary custodian of a project until it is finished enough for Angie to drive it

...oh, and a 2006 Freelander destined for the jungles of The Gambia - 4500 miles across roads, desert and tracks - what could possibly go wrong?

A bit tired and tetchy...

Got to say EKTB, right from your first post at the back end of last year, you were offered a connection to a NMY SE, but your first reply to that offer made me think "sod you if that's your attitude". And most who know me think I'm laid back (eh Paul!), and would put myself out for anyone even if I'd never met them ( eh Al, Matt, Dapinky etc).

In fact most of us on here would go out of our way to help others, and most of these guys have at some stage done so for me.

How's about you come and meet some of us and see what we're really about? You'll like us! And we'll probably like you ( give or take a sun tan :D )

If you're getting an Elan then great, if your not then so be it, but you know you wont be happy 'til you've got one
